Last April, Honor launched the Honor Play 60 and Honor Play 60m smartphones under its “Play 60” series. Both devices were made available in the Chinese market. Now, the company has introduced another new model in this lineup, the Honor Play 60A. The Honor Play 60A 5G smartphone has been launched in China with 6GB RAM, a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, and a 5300mAh battery.

The Honor Play 60A 5G features a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels. This TFT LCD panel supports a 90Hz refresh rate and 16.7 million colors. To protect users’ eyes, Honor has included an Eye Protection Mode in the display. The smartphone measures just 7.89mm in thickness and weighs 186 grams. It will be available in Lake Blue, Azure Sky, and Inky Black Rock color options.

The Honor Play 60A 5G runs on Android 15-based MagicOS 9.0 out of the box. For performance, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 octa-core processor, built on a 6nm fabrication process, with a clock speed of up to 2.4GHz. In China, the smartphone has been launched in a 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage configuration.

For photography, the Honor Play 60A 5G sports a 13MP primary rear camera with an LED flash, capable of recording 1080p videos. On the front, the smartphone is equipped with a 5MP camera for selfies and video calls. For power backup, the device packs a 5,300mAh battery and supports 15W fast charging.

The Honor Play 60A 5G also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack. Connectivity features include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, and OTG support. In China, the smartphone is priced at 1,599 yuan, which is approximately ₹20,000. So far, there is no official information regarding its launch in the Indian market. However, if launched in India with similar specifications, its price could be around ₹10,000.

For users considering a 5G smartphone under ₹10,000, good alternatives include the Tecno Spark Go, Lava Blaze Dragon, and iQOO Z10 Lite. Meanwhile, those looking for affordable 5G smartphones in the ₹10,000 to ₹12,000 range may find the Infinix Hot 50, POCO M7, and OPPO K13x to be attractive options.
