Xiaomi Reports Record-Breaking Q3 2025 Revenue, EV Business Turns Profitable
Xiaomi has released its Q3 2025 financial report, and once again, the company has delivered impressive numbers. This marks the fourth consecutive quarter in which Xiaomi generated more than CNY 100 billion in revenue, showcasing continued momentum across smartphones, IoT, and its rapidly expanding EV division.
Smartphone Division Records 9th Consecutive Quarter of Growth
Xiaomi shipped 43.3 million smartphones globally in Q3 2025, marking the 9th straight quarter of shipment growth. The brand continues to hold its position as:
- Top 3 globally in smartphone shipments
- #2 in China
The smartphone division earned CNY 46 billion in revenue. Demand in the CNY 4,000–6,000 price segment ($560–$845) is rising rapidly, now accounting for 18.9% of all sales — up by 5.6 percentage points YoY.
The new Xiaomi 17 series, which launched just a month ago, is performing exceptionally well with sales up nearly 30% compared to the Xiaomi 15 series. Interestingly, the 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max models dominate the lineup, contributing to more than 80% of total sales.

Xiaomi’s TWS earbuds lineup continues to excel, ranking:
- #2 globally
- #1 in China
Meanwhile, Xiaomi tablets secured a position in the Top 5 globally and Top 3 in China, reflecting growing adoption among consumers.
1 Billion IoT Devices on Xiaomi Platform
Xiaomi’s smart home ecosystem reached a massive milestone with over 1 billion connected IoT devices. IoT and lifestyle products generated CNY 27.6 billion in revenue during Q3—up 5.6% YoY.
EV Division Achieves First Profitability
Another major highlight from Q3 2025 is the profitability of Xiaomi’s Smart EV division. Combined revenue from EVs, AI, and other innovative initiatives reached CNY 29 billion.
The EV unit alone reported its first profitable quarter, contributing to the CNY 0.7 billion total income from these sectors.
Xiaomi delivered 108,796 EVs this quarter, up from 81,302 in Q2. The Xiaomi YU7 dominated October, becoming the #1 best-selling SUV in China.
Massive Investment in R&D Continues
In the first three quarters of 2025, Xiaomi invested CNY 23.5 billion in R&D. Of this, Q3 alone saw CNY 9.1 billion — a huge 52.1% spike YoY.
The company now employs a record 24,871 R&D personnel, reflecting its aggressive push toward innovation across AI, robotics, EVs, and operating systems.
Xiaomi was also named one of the World’s Best Employers of 2025 by Forbes — its third appearance on the list.
