Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the much-awaited Xiaomi 17 series will be launched in China on September 25th at 7pm. Market interest is high, as all three models in the series will debut simultaneously. Notably, this release introduces HyperOS 3, which will allow Xiaomi’s devices to make significant strides in terms of speed and user experience.
In addition, the Xiaomi 17 series will adopt the world’s first Snapdragon Elite Gen 5 processor – an industry-leading chipset that is expected to set a new benchmark in mobile processing and performance. The event coincides with Chairman Lei Jun’s annual keynote speech, which signals a unified message around the brand’s future direction and broader technology strategy.

The Xiaomi 17 series consists of three models, each targeting a different market segment:
- Xiaomi 17: Known as the most capable standard flagship to date, this model combines high-quality hardware and affordable pricing. It is scheduled for global distribution, expanding Xiaomi's reach.
- Xiaomi 17 Pro: Positioned for tech-forward consumers with a preference for imaging and compact design, this device features top-tier camera technology. The Pro variant will initially be exclusive to the Chinese domestic market.
- Xiaomi 17 Pro Max: Designated as Xiaomi's highest-spec flagship, this model uses cutting-edge hardware for maximum performance. Like the Pro, distribution will be limited to China at launch.
The launch event will also feature Lei Jun's sixth annual speech "Change", where he will share insights on the XRING O1 chip and the progress of the Xiaomi Car project. This highlights Xiaomi's commitment to expanding the ecosystem beyond smartphones.
